Learners will develop a thorough understanding of professional health and safety, hygiene and infection prevention procedures required for advanced skin blemish removal treatments. The course covers risk assessment, safe working practices, relevant legislation, waste disposal, client protection, equipment safety and maintaining a professional clinical environment throughout every treatment.
This qualification includes detailed knowledge of skin anatomy and physiology, skin healing, skin types and conditions, hair structure and growth, the endocrine system, circulatory and lymphatic systems, together with common skin diseases, disorders and imperfections relevant to advanced electrical epilation treatments.
Learners will develop the skills required to carry out detailed consultations, analyse the skin, identify treatment objectives, recognise contraindications, perform appropriate sensitivity testing, formulate individual treatment plans and maintain accurate client consultation records before commencing treatment.
Practical training includes preparing the treatment area, selecting suitable equipment and probes, performing advanced electrical epilation techniques, treating appropriate skin blemishes, adjusting treatment parameters according to individual client requirements, monitoring treatment outcomes and evaluating results professionally.
The course covers professional aftercare advice, home care recommendations, management of post-treatment reactions, future treatment planning, accurate record keeping, treatment evaluation and maintaining high standards of professional communication and client care throughout the treatment process.
There are no formal prerequisite qualifications required before undertaking this qualification.
This qualification includes 47 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) and 70 Total Qualification Time (TQT), combining theoretical knowledge with supervised practical training to develop competence in advanced skin blemish removal treatments.
The cost of this course is £1500, plus a £150 registration fee.
Upon successful completion of all required practical assessments, portfolio evidence and internal assessment requirements, learners will receive the VTCT Skills Level 4 Award in Skin Blemish Removal.
Learners must attend in professional uniform (tunic, black trousers, closed shoes).
Course fees are non-refundable once confirmed. Certificates are issued only after successful completion of all required practical assessments and portfolio evidence in accordance with VTCT requirements.
