Health & Safety
Learners will develop the knowledge required to maintain safe, hygienic and professional working practices throughout advanced barbering services. Training covers infection prevention and control, hand hygiene, PPE, cross-contamination, cleaning and disinfection, sterilisation, waste disposal, equipment safety and emergency procedures while working in accordance with current UK legislation and recognised industry standards.
Consultation & Hair Analysis
Learners will develop advanced consultation skills to assess client requirements, analyse hair and scalp condition, evaluate face shape, identify contraindications and create personalised service plans. Training also covers photography, record keeping, informed consent and recommending suitable haircut and beard designs based on individual client needs.
Advanced Barbering Techniques
Training focuses on developing advanced practical barbering skills, including precision haircutting, clipper-over-comb, scissor-over-comb, fading, blending, texturising, outlining, detailing and finishing techniques. Learners will also develop the ability to adapt services according to hair type, growth pattern, texture and face shape to achieve balanced, professional results.
Beard Grooming & Finishing
Learners will develop specialist skills in beard consultation, beard shaping, moustache design, precision edging, traditional wet shaving, finishing techniques and aftercare. Practical training focuses on creating personalised beard designs that complement the client’s facial proportions while maintaining high standards of safety, precision and professionalism.
Professional Practice
