Health & Safety and Clinical Environment 

This section focuses on safe working practices, including PPE, ventilation, chemical handling, COSHH regulations, and maintaining a hygienic professional environment.

Consultation and Hair Analysis 

Learners will develop advanced consultation skills, including hair type classification, porosity and elasticity testing, scalp analysis, and treatment planning based on client needs.

Hair Anatomy & Physiology 

This section covers the structure of the hair (cuticle, cortex, medulla), hair growth cycle, and the role of protein bonds in determining hair strength and behaviour.

Science of Treatments 

Learners will understand the chemical composition and mechanisms of keratin, protein, and hair botox treatments, including pH effects, heat activation, and product penetration.

Treatment Procedures 

Learners will be guided through step-by-step application of keratin, protein, and hair botox treatments, including product application, processing time, and heat sealing techniques.

Advanced Techniques 

This section covers treatment customisation based on hair type and condition, combining treatments, and performing corrective procedures for damaged hair.

Contraindications and Troubleshooting 

Learners will identify contraindications, manage adverse reactions, and apply corrective techniques to ensure safe and effective outcomes.

Aftercare Advice 

This section focuses on providing professional aftercare guidance to maintain results and protect hair condition.

Professional Practice and Legislation 

This section includes UK legislation such as Health and Safety at Work Act, COSHH, PPE Regulations, and professional responsibilities in client care and record keeping.

Entry Requirement 

A Level 2 qualification in hairdressing, barbering or beauty therapy, an equivalent recognised qualification or relevant salon experience is recommended. Applicants without these qualifications may still enrol where they have an interest in professional hair treatments, as the essential foundation knowledge relating to hair structure, consultation, hygiene, product safety and treatment procedures will be introduced and reinforced throughout the course.

Duration 

This CPD course is delivered over 2 days with a total of 16 guided learning hours (GLH).

Costs 

The cost of the course is £580.00.

Qualification Awarded 

Upon successful completion, learners will receive a CPD certificate awarded by Divine Hair and Beauty Training Academy. The course is approved by The CPD Group, ensuring recognised CPD accreditation.

KIT Required 

Learners must attend in professional uniform (tunic, black trousers, closed shoes).
