Health & Safety

Learners will develop an understanding of professional responsibilities relating to health, safety and client wellbeing when applying anatomical and physiological knowledge in professional practice. The course promotes safe working practices and reinforces the importance of recognising conditions that may influence treatment planning or require referral.

Anatomy & Physiology Principles

Learners will develop a detailed understanding of the structure and function of the human body, including cells, tissues, organs and body systems. The course explores the anatomy, physiology and pathology of the skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, respiratory, cardiovascular, lymphatic, digestive, urinary and reproductive systems, providing the scientific knowledge required for professional practice within the beauty, complementary therapy and sport industries.

Client Assessment & Professional Knowledge

Learners will develop the knowledge required to recognise normal body function, understand common pathological conditions and appreciate how anatomical and physiological principles support safe client assessment, treatment planning and professional decision-making across a range of therapy disciplines.

Applied Anatomy & Physiology

Training focuses on applying anatomical and physiological knowledge within professional beauty, complementary therapy and sport environments. Learners will understand the relationship between body systems, recognise factors influencing normal body function and apply scientific principles to support safe and effective professional practice.

Professional Practice

Learners will develop the theoretical knowledge expected of professional practitioners, enabling them to communicate confidently using correct anatomical terminology and apply anatomy and physiology principles to support evidence-based, safe and ethical practice.

This qualification consists of 100 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) and 370 Total Qualification Time (TQT).

The cost of the course is £1100.00, plus a £250.00 registration fee.

Course fees are non-refundable once enrolment has been confirmed. The VTCT Skills (ITEC) qualification certificate will only be issued after successful completion of the external theory examination in accordance with VTCT Skills (ITEC) assessment requirements.
