Course Content
Health & Safety
Learners will develop a comprehensive understanding of professional health, safety and security requirements, including infection prevention and control, PPE, COSHH compliance, aseptic techniques, risk assessment, safe working practices, client protection, waste management, legal responsibilities and maintaining a safe clinical environment throughout every treatment.
Micropigmentation Principles
Learners will study the anatomy and physiology of the skin and facial structures, wound healing, colour theory, pigment characteristics, consultation procedures and the scientific principles of micropigmentation. The course also covers eyebrow, eyelid and lip treatment planning, implantation techniques, equipment selection and professional treatment protocols.
Client Consultation & Treatment Planning
Learners will develop advanced consultation skills to assess client suitability, review medical history, perform skin analysis and sensitivity testing, identify contra-indications, establish treatment objectives, select suitable pigments and techniques, obtain informed consent and prepare personalised treatment plans.
Practical Micropigmentation Techniques
Practical training includes preparing the treatment area, selecting suitable equipment and pigments, performing eyebrow, eyelid and lip micropigmentation procedures, applying pointillism, stroke and shading implantation techniques, adapting treatments to individual client needs, evaluating treatment outcomes and maintaining accurate clinical records.
Treatment Aftercare & Professional Practice
Learners will provide comprehensive aftercare advice, recommend appropriate home-care products, explain the healing process, advise clients on maintenance treatments, evaluate treatment results and demonstrate professional communication, ethical practice and high standards of client care throughout the treatment journey.

Entry Requirement
Learners must have successfully completed a Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualification (or equivalent) before enrolling on this qualification. They should also possess the knowledge, understanding and practical skills required to undertake advanced micropigmentation treatments.
Duration
This qualification consists of 169 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) and 320 Total Qualification Time (TQT).

The cost of the course is £4900.00, plus a £200.00 registration fee.
Qualification Awarded
Upon successful completion of all mandatory units, practical observations and portfolio evidence, learners will receive the VTCT Skills Level 4 Certificate in Micropigmentation.
