Health & Safety

Learners will develop an understanding of their responsibilities for creating safe, inclusive and supportive learning environments. Training covers organisational policies, safeguarding responsibilities, risk management, equality, diversity, learner wellbeing and maintaining professional standards throughout the teaching and learning process.

Teaching, Learning & Assessment

Learners will develop the knowledge and practical skills required to plan, deliver and evaluate effective teaching sessions using inclusive teaching approaches. Training includes selecting appropriate teaching methods, adapting delivery to meet individual learner needs, applying learning technologies, carrying out assessment activities and providing constructive feedback that supports learner achievement and progression.

Managing Learning Environments

Training focuses on creating positive, inclusive and engaging group learning environments that promote participation, collaboration and achievement. Learners will develop skills in motivating learners, managing behaviour, facilitating communication, adapting learning activities and ensuring learning complies with organisational and legal requirements.

Professional Teaching Practice

Learners will develop the professional knowledge and practical competence expected of education and training practitioners. The qualification encourages reflective practice, continuous professional development, effective communication with colleagues and learners, and the application of professional standards to improve teaching quality and learner outcomes.

This qualification consists of 3 Mandatory Units plus Optional Units.

Entry Requirement

A minimum Level 2 qualification in Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy is required. Learners should have the knowledge, understanding and communication skills necessary to undertake teaching and assessment activities successfully.

Duration

This qualification consists of 128–588 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) and 330 Total Qualification Time (TQT).

Costs

The cost of the course is £1500.00, plus a £250.00 registration fee.

Qualification Awarded

Upon successful completion of all required assessments and portfolio evidence, learners will receive the VTCT Skills Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training.

KIT Required
