Course Content
Health & Safety and Clinical Environment
This section focuses on maintaining a safe, hygienic, and professional working environment. Learners will understand infection prevention, tool sanitisation, waste disposal, and compliance with UK health and safety regulations within nail services.
Anatomy & Physiology
Learners will study the structure and function of the skin and nail unit, including nail growth, circulation, and lymphatic systems. This knowledge supports safe treatment application and recognition of abnormalities.
Nail Conditions and Disorders
This section covers common nail diseases and disorders such as fungal infections, paronychia, onycholysis, and ingrown nails. Learners will understand when treatments should be adapted or avoided.
Tools, Equipment and Products
Learners will gain knowledge of professional manicure and pedicure tools, including files, buffers, cuticle tools, and nail products, as well as correct usage, maintenance, and hygiene practices.
Consultation and Treatment Planning
This section teaches how to perform effective client consultations, assess nail conditions, identify contraindications, and plan appropriate treatments tailored to individual needs.
Manicure & Pedicure Techniques
Learners will develop practical knowledge of treatment procedures including nail shaping, cuticle care, massage techniques, and polish application using correct professional methods.

This section introduces hand and foot massage techniques such as effleurage, petrissage, and friction to improve circulation and enhance client experience.

Entry Requirement
This course is suitable for beginners, and no previous beauty therapy or nail treatment experience is required. An interest in beauty therapy or professional nail care is beneficial. All essential foundation knowledge, including nail anatomy, consultation, hygiene and safe manicure and pedicure procedures, will be introduced and reinforced throughout the course.
Duration
This CPD course is delivered over 1 day with a total of 8 guided learning hours. The training includes theory, demonstration, and supervised practical sessions.
Costs
The cost of the course is £350.00.
Qualification Awarded
Upon successful completion, learners will receive a CPD certificate awarded by Divine Hair and Beauty Training Academy. The course is approved by The CPD Group, ensuring recognised CPD accreditation.
KIT Required
Learners must attend in professional uniform (tunic, black trousers, closed shoes).
