Health & Safety and Clinical Environment 

This section focuses on maintaining a safe, hygienic, and professional treatment environment, including infection control, PPE, risk assessment, and compliance with UK legislation.

Consultation and Assessment 

Learners will develop advanced consultation skills, including client assessment, medical history analysis, postural observation, and treatment planning to ensure safe and effective treatments.

Anatomy & Physiology 

This section covers key body systems including muscular, skeletal, circulatory, lymphatic, and nervous systems to support safe and effective massage practice.

Body Massage Techniques 

Learners will develop advanced manual techniques including effleurage, petrissage, friction, tapotement, and vibration, with focus on pressure control, rhythm, and treatment flow.

Hot Stone Massage Techniques 

This section covers safe use of heated stones, temperature control, placement techniques, and combining stones with manual massage for enhanced results.

Indian Head Massage Techniques 

Learners will develop skills in scalp, neck, and shoulder massage techniques, including pressure points, rhythm, and seated treatment application.

Treatment Procedures

Learners will be guided through full treatment sequences including full body massage, hot stone massage, and Indian head massage, ensuring professional delivery and structure.

Contraindications and Troubleshooting 

This section covers absolute and relative contraindications, recognising adverse reactions, and adapting treatments to ensure safety.

Aftercare Advice 

Learners will be able to provide professional aftercare guidance to support client wellbeing and maintain treatment results.

Professional Practice and Legislation 

This section includes UK legal requirements such as Health and Safety at Work Act, COSHH, RIDDOR, and professional standards in client care and record keeping.

 

Entry Requirement 

A Level 2 qualification in beauty therapy, massage or a related field is recommended. Relevant practical experience may also be considered. Applicants without these qualifications or experience may still enrol, as the essential foundation knowledge will be introduced and reinforced during the course.

Duration 

This CPD course is delivered over 1 day with a total of 8 guided learning hours (GLH).

Costs 

The cost of the course is £380.00.

Qualification Awarded 

Upon successful completion, learners will receive a CPD certificate awarded by Divine Hair and Beauty Training Academy. The course is approved by The CPD Group, ensuring recognised CPD accreditation.

KIT Required 

Learners must attend in professional uniform (tunic, black trousers, closed shoes).

Course fees are non-refundable once confirmed.  Certificates are issued only after successful completion of both theory and practical assessment.
