Health & Safety and Salon Hygiene

This section covers infection control, hygiene standards, PPE, and safe working practices to ensure a clean and professional salon environment.

Consultation and Client Assessment

Learners will develop consultation skills including analysing hair type, condition, face shape, and client expectations to create suitable treatment plans.

Hair Anatomy & Physiology

This section explains hair structure, scalp condition, and growth cycle to support safe and effective cutting decisions.

Includes UK legislation such as Health and Safety at Work Act, COSHH, PPE Regulations, and data protection.

 

A Level 1 or Level 2 qualification in hairdressing, an equivalent recognised qualification or relevant salon experience is recommended. Applicants without these qualifications or experience may still enrol, as the essential foundation knowledge relating to consultation, hair and scalp assessment, sectioning, hygiene and safe cutting practice will be introduced and reinforced throughout the course.

Duration 

This CPD course is delivered over 3 days with a total of 24 guided learning hours (GLH).

Costs

The cost of the course is £650.00.

Qualification Awarded

Upon successful completion, learners will receive a CPD certificate awarded by Divine Hair and Beauty Training Academy.
This course is formally approved by The CPD Group, a recognised UK accreditation body, ensuring high standards in continuing professional development.

KIT Required

Learners must attend in professional uniform (tunic, black trousers, closed shoes).
